The DSG DQ381 and DQ500 gearboxes found in the Golf 7.5, Golf 8, and RS3 / TTRS are factory-equipped with plastic tubes responsible for transferring oil around the internal components. These tubes are prone to weakness and do not cope well with the temperatures and pressures associated with high torque and aggressive shifting (tuned transmissions).
